Virgin Atlantic, A Comparison with British Airways.

Although my family and I have flown to Florida on numerous previous occasions, we have never flown with Virgin Atlantic. That was until July 2010 when we flew direct from Manchester to Orlando International.

 Previous years have seen us fly from our local airport into Gatwick for our onward flight into Orlando, however since BA lost the domestic route to Fly Be, it meant that we would have  to endure a bus transfer between Heathrow and Gatwick to pick up our onward flights both on the outgoing and return journeys.

Flying To Florida Indirect

With the ever-increasing costs of transatlantic flights, this year’s annual Florida vacation offered me an ideal opportunity to seek out a cheaper alternative to our usual scheduled flights, which consisted of flights from Newcastle to Gatwick, then Gatwick direct to Orlando International Airport (MCO). Although not necessarily tourist attractions, there are a number of incredibly fascinating views of Florida that won’t be noticed or really appreciated from ground level.
