When did the park open?
June 21, 2006 marked the Grand Opening Event for Sun-N-Fun Lagoon as well as all of North Collier Regional Park where Sun-N-Fun Lagoon is located.
What kind of water activities are there?
Interactive water features include water dumping buckets, water pistols, four pools including a family pool, Tadpole pool for Children 6 and under, and Turtle Cove for kids 5 to 12 and a lap/diving pool, as well as Sunny's River, a lazy river attraction with five water slides.
What is in Sun-N-Fun Lagoon?
This water park is state-of-the-art, with colorful decorations. It is an important part of a larger project, North Collier Regional Park, which offers many amenities making Sun-N-Fun Lagoon the perfect day trip destination. North Collier Regional Park offers beautiful preserve tours from the Exhibit Hall on foot and in trams.
You name it, Sun-N-Fun Lagoon has it including a water tower taking those 48" and taller 38 feet in the air to come back down on one of five fantastic water slides.
This is one of the county's publicly owned water activity centers, which is surrounded by a plush preserve and a large athletic complex for soccer and softball. North Collier Regional Park is the perfect alternative to the crowded beaches during season (November to May).
Sunny's River boasts many turns, water fountain features overhead and one of the five slides drops into the Lazy River. Sun-N-Fun Lagoon also encompasses a Tadpole Pool, a toddler activity pool, with an oversized fish water slide, swings and other fun features. The oversized family pool and Turtle Cove, a children's activity pool for those five to 12-years-old are the icing on the cake.
If you are less into lounging and relaxing, everyone is invited to take a dip in our dive/lap pool and get some exercise in.
