Consisting of a central square and 18th century mansions, Buenavista del Norte is situated in the west of the island.
Traditionally the west peninsula has not been a hot tourist spot however villages such as Buenavista del Norte are making this a more attractive proposition.
The Church of Nuestra Senora de los Remedios has a 17th century painting by Alonso Cano whic may be of interest.
