About Rookwood
Rookwood is an immaculately maintained and beautifully furnished, single storey home, situated on the exclusive golf course community of Southern Dunes, a peaceful, quiet, award winning, gated community less than 20 minutes from theme parks. The gates are manned 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for added security. Tennis courts are available free of charge for the use of guests on a first come first served basis. There is also a fishing lake (Lake Joe) within the community.The community has a clubhouse with licensed bar/restaurant, a children's play area, tennis courts, communal pools and a fishing lake.
Immediately outside the community, is a 24-hour WalMart superstore, which sells everything from groceries to sports equipment. An ATM cash machine is available for your convenience, although there is also a bank located nearby. Other shops within walking distance are – Win Dixie, Walgreens, Blockbuster and other smaller shops.
There are several family restaurants within 5 minutes drive – Manny’s Chophouse, T-Bones, Sonny’s BBQ, All Star Bar & Grill, as well as take away outlets such as Taco Bell, Pizza Hut and Burger King.
All towels (including pool towels) and bedding are also supplied.

| Family Room | Family room again there are two comfortable sofas (2 seater, 3 seater). There is also a 32" LCD flat screen cable TV with 75 channels to choose from. Numerous family board games are also supplied. A DVD player with a selection of DVD's. Sliding doors lead from this beautiful room to the pool deck. The doors can be alarmed for added security if you have young children among your party. |
| The Lounge | A restful area for sitting and relaxing with a good book, or for listening to music. If you want to plan your holiday itinerary, or keep in touch with family or friends, a PC is available. Fitted with a cable internet connection, to enable you to check out all the parks at speed, or maybe plan your route to the attractions of Florida! |
| Kitchen/breakfast area | The kitchen is fully equipped with all appliances, including fridge/freezer with ice maker, waste disposal, electric cooker, microwave, dishwasher. All cutlery, crockery, glassware and plastic bowls, cups (for use in the pool area)are provided. There is also a good range of cooking equipment for those who like to self cater. As well as the formal dining table in the lounge area, there is also a table and chairs in the kitchen area. |
| 1st Master Bedroom | Has a beautiful bathroom with corner bath (garden tub), walk in shower cubicle, separate toilet and very large closet. It also has cable T.V., a remote controlled ceiling fan, a radio/alarm clock and an extension telephone. Complete with a queen size bed. |
| 2nd Master Bedroom | Bedroom 2 also has en suite facilities – a bath/shower, wash basin and toilet. There is also a cable T.V. and radio/alarm clock. Complete with a queen size bed. |
| Bedroom 3 | Is a twin bedded room with cable TV and a games machine with built in games. |
| Bedroom 4 | Is also a twin bedded and with a selection of toys suitable for our younger guests. |
| 3rd bathroom | A third full bathroom is positioned between the two twin bedrooms. It has a bath/shower, wash basin and toilet. |
| Games area | Pool table, air hockey table and electronic darts game. The darts have safe plastic points. |
| Pool | The private swimming pool can be heated at an additional cost of £84/$154 per week. It is also screened to keep out insects, but will not stop the sun from shining down onto the pool and extended deck. There is a covered porch area with a newly installed hot tub for you to relax and enjoy the therapeutic massaging jets. Luxurious patio furniture and sun beds with thick padded cushions are provided. There is safety fencing around the pool for the protection of small children. |
| Laundry Facilities | Our home is equipped with full laundry facilities including a washing machine, separate drier, iron, ironing board, laundry baskets in all bedrooms and a clothes line in the garage to dry off all your swimming stuff |
| Additional items which are included in the rental | BBQ(electric George Forman) can be used outside in the pool area, digital safe, telephone calls (local/long distance and international calls), PC with high speed broadband and WIFI connection, baby equipment - crib, high chair, stroller, side bar for single bed, toys, pool towels, hair driers in all bathrooms. |

After 18 months of planning our 16 days are over – it is hard to believe but in all honesty the time did not fly in. We had a really great relaxing time.
Thank you so much for letting us use your villa. It was absolutely lovely, very clean and extremely well kitted out. We really lacked for nothing and the children spent hours in the pool. The air con and fans meant we slept well at night (nothing to do with the wine of course!) and the pool table certainly kept me amused.
Manny’s by the way should be highlighted as a not to be missed attraction – we will miss the steaks.
Finally, trying to work out if I can get the boys over for a weeks golf next year so I may need another week in the villa.

I said we would back in the near future and in June next year we will be. We enjoyed it so much. It is honestly refreshing to find people such as you and your husband who genuinely take pride in the facilities they offer without exageration. As you know I do a lot of global travel with my job, but to find somewhere for two weeks of perfect relaxation such as Rookwood, is truly wonderful. To find somewhere where my 20 & 22 year old sons want to come with us says it all. Dont be surprised if we repeat in 2009 as well.
