About Moorgate Villa
This beautiful new villa is on the the gated community of Highgate Park, off Highway 27 near its junction with the 192. Its superb location means that not only is it extremely close to Disney World (about 10 minutes) all of the other theme parks are a short drive away. You are also ideally situated to be able to explore the rest of Florida including both the Space and Gulf coasts which are both about an hours drive away.There are 2 supermarkets (Walmart 24hrs) within 5 minutes and a number of speciality shops, takeaways and a pharmacy. If you want to eat out there are a large number of restaurants with someting to suit every taste and budget.
The world famous shopping malls are only a short drive away and for golf enthusiasts there are many courses to take your pick from - the closest being Highlands Reserve and Polo Park.
Highgate Park has its own childrens play area, picnic tables and tennis court
The villa has been furnished thoughout to reflect the tropical nature of Florida with upgraded furnishings throughout andand we recently painted some accent walls to highlight the homes features.
We have provided FREE broadband internet access so take along your laptop/notebook and stay connected. We also have FREE long distance calls for our US and Canadian guests. This also means that other guests can book a restaurant or theme park - local calls are really local in the US - without this facility guests in our home could not call Disney for example.
The villa is managed by a local company who have a 24hr emergency service if you need it.
We have installed a lock box for the door key so that you can go straight to the villa from your flight (Orlando International-30 mins). We will provide you with the entry codes for both the lock box and Highgate Park plus comprehensive driving instructions from Orlando and Sanford on payment of the balance.
New extended deck and more loungers for even more sunbathing space one of the few pools that you can sit and sunbathe all the way around - great for keeping an eye on the children. Top up your tan all day if you wish - or retreat to the shade of the lanai if you prefer. The best of both worlds - beware of the fierce Florida sun some south facing pools may have no shade at all and you end up inside to escape - not what you want to do while you are away.

| The Great Room | The great room is the main reason we chose this house as it makes for a very sociable atmosphere. Who wants to be alone in the kitchen when everyone else is sitting watching cable TV, a DVD or playing with the Playstation? |
| Formal Dining | There is a formal dining area in the great room for special meals - or you may just want to eat a takeaway. |
| The Kitchen | The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could need to serve a simple meal, a banquet or a takeaway. All the crockery, cutlery, glassware and pots and pans are there. The appliances make life easy like the oven, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. There is also a kettle for tea in the morning or a coffee maker if you prefer. Unlike some rental homes there is plenty of space in the kitchen - so everyone can give a hand. |
| Breakfast nook | The breakfast nook is ideal for a quick bite before dashing out to get to the theme parks early. The chairs can also be moved to join the seating area. |
| Master bedroom | The master bedroom is huge and has a king size bed. It also has a large walk in closet on the way to the master bathroom. Like all the bedrooms it has it's own cable TV so you can get away from everyone if you want. It also has direct access to the pool area. Just imagine waking up to the view of the pool and spa |
| En Suite Bathroom | The master bathroom is fit for a star. There is a huge walk in shower, corner bath and his and hers sinks. There is a separate toilet. The mirrors and lights make you feel something special. There is also a hairdryer provided. Remember all the towels are provided but we ask you do not take these out of the villa. |
| Queen bedroom | The second bedroom has a queen sized bed and is adjacent to the other bathroom so it might as well be en-suite. The tropical theme is continued in the bedcovers and specially selected art work. |
| One for the girls? | The first of the twin bedrooms has flamingos on the bedcovers and light wood furniture. It is linked to the second twin by a Jack & Jill bathroom which makes the house ideal for sharers. |
| One for the boys? | The second twin is more masculine with tartan on the bedcovers and darker furniture. Its adjoining bathroom is also thoughtfully divided so that more than one person can get ready in the morning. |
| Fun in the sun | The pool is 27ft by 11ft and is surrounded by a screen to keep away the bugs. There is an outside shower.The pool can be heated in the winter months by paying a supplement. It has a safety net which has to be in place by Florida law if you have children in your party. We want your holiday to be safe. We have also added a solar pool blanket to keep the heat in the pool overnight and a roller to make it easy to get in and out of the pool. We recommend you cover the pool when you are not using it to conserve your heat- but please be aware it is not load bearing. |
| Bubble Bubble | The spa pool adds that little bit of luxury and is great for conversations. The waterfall from the spa to the pool also makes a wonderfully relaxing sound. It's a great place to discuss the day and relax away those aching feet. |
| The lanai | The lanai is a traditional floridian touch - a covered area in which to get away from the heat of the sun. Remember it can get very HOT. It has a table, chairs and loungers. There is a ceiling fan and light so you can dine out in the evening and listen to the crickets. We have a great electric barbeque so no gas bottles to run out. Cooks great too- thoroughly tested! |
| Games and things | In the garage we have a pool table, air hockey, foosball, electronic basketball and darts. If you just want to watch- bar stools and table for the spectators. |
| Privacy planting | May 2010 we added lots of wonderful plants around the whole of our pool screen to add to the privacy of the area - but also to attract the butterflies (some are enormous). Much prettier than the opaque Florida glass than many use - and gives you the sense of space rather than being hemmed in. Plants were chosen to provide year round interest and to be tolerant of the conditions in Florida. Which would you choose - a blank wall of Florida glass or the beauty of living plants? |

How do we book?
We have an automated booking system on our website which takes both credit and debit cards. You enter the dates you want, get an instant quote and then decide if you want to proceed. In most cases you will get an instant confirmation and you can proceed to payment.
What deposit do you need?
We ask for a 25% deposit to secure the booking and the balance is due 8 weeks before departure. All money paid by you is held in a client account until after your stay for your peace of mind. Full terms and conditions can be found on our booking system.
How do we find the villa?
Once your final balance has been received you will get full instructions about how to get to the villa, the codes for the gates of Highgate Park and the lock box code. We also give you emergency contact numbers and the full address (required for non US visitors on arrival)
How do we contact you?
On our website we have all our contact details. We welcome the chance to talk to all our guests - we can call you if you let us know your number and a good time to call. We aim to make sure you enjoy your stay - so you tell all your friends about us.
How many can stay?
We are licenced by the State of Florida for a maximum of 10 guests. All guests must be named and this policy will be strictly upheld.
Can I smoke?
Yes - but only outside please. This is for the comfort of all our guests.
Can I bring my pet?
Sorry - we have a strictly no pets policy - this is because of allergy problems that may arise for other guests - we have a pampered Labrador ourselves but she stays at home.
