The Milky Way

At Talia Villa, we guarantee you a great night’s sleep. We have holidayed in Florida since our son was just 18 months old, so we know exactly how to make the little ones’ time perfect for them and for you. Your children will fall in love with The Milky Way bunk room, with its Disney-inspired decorations and comfortable bed which, in one easy movement, turns into a sofa during the daytime. We cater for babies and very young children with a stroller, pack-and-go travel cot, baby listener, stairgate, toddler toilet seat and high chair. Our pool is protected by a removable five-foot high fence and every external door and window is alarmed.

The Lake Rooms ~ Windermere and Coniston
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

On the upper floor we have our two twin bedrooms, named after two of the original Cumbrian Lakes – The Windermere and The Coniston. The Windermere enjoys a sophisticated aqua theme and contains two twin beds, a TV and a large closet. The Coniston is elegantly decorated in claret, perfectly fitted to the tropical Florida climate. These two rooms are adjacent to a shared bathroom with shower, tub, basin and WC. Each room has a bedside lamp with adjustable brightness, which can be adjusted from the comfort of the bed. We also provide clock radios in the room, just in case you were thinking of rising early to catch some extra sunshine!

The Sunrise Suite

Also on the upper floor is the first of our three sumptuous master suites. The Sunrise Suite enjoys a king-sized bed, from which can be enjoyed mesmerising sunrises across the lake. The balcony is the perfect setting for enjoying views across the lake at any time of the day and night. The room contains a TV with DVD player and plentiful drawer space. On either side of the bed are elegant lamps with adjustable brightness; from the comfort of your bed, simply adjust the switch to the setting you desire.

The en suite bathroom is huge and boasts a walk-in shower, an extra-wide tub, ‘his and hers’ basins and walk-in closets and a separate WC. At the end of a busy day, simply drizzle your favourite bubble bath under the tap, lie back and relax, thinking about what tomorrow may bring...

The Lakeview Suite

Situated on the ground floor is the second of our master suites, The Lakeview. With patio doors leading directly to the pool area, this suite enjoys wonderful views over the pool and the lake beyond. The Lakeview has a queen-sized bed, large closet, and a TV with DVD player. There are elegant bedside lamps with adjustable brightness and a ceiling fan in addition to the air-conditioning, to ensure a blissful night’s sleep. The en suite bathroom houses a shower, bath tub, basin and WC.

The Tropical Suite

Hidden away on the ground floor, is the most secluded of our bedrooms, The Tropical Suite. The Tropical also has a queen-sized bed, large closet, and a TV with DVD player. The bedside lamps can be adjusted from the comfort of your bed and the clock radio will wake you should you need your sweet dreams to be interrupted by another busy day at Florida’s attractions. Again, the en suite bathroom houses a shower, bath tub, basin and WC.

The Pool and Spa

Talia Villa’s piece de resistance is undoubtedly its large pool, relaxing spa and large deck area. The pool has graduated steps to make access easy for young children and anyone who likes to take things easy. At the further end is a concealed seat providing the perfect spot to cool down. The relaxing spa comfortably seats four adults and has a simple-to-use timer for hassle-free operation. We have recently purchased brand new pool furniture and offer a selection of upright chairs and loungers. We also provide a selection of inflatable pool toys for your children’s (and your) enjoyment.

The outstanding feature which sets our villa above all others is its unique waterfront position, not overlooked by any other villas. Talia Villa is situated on a corner plot, which sets it on an angle from the houses to either side, in addition to which we have planted beautiful native plants along either side of the pool enclosure to ensure your total privacy when using the pool and spa.

In the balmy Florida evenings, light the pool and enjoy a late-night dip in the colour scheme of your choice!

Al Fresco Dining

Our large lanai area is shaded from the sun at any time of the day, provided the perfect spot for an al fresco breakfast, lunch or dinner. The area has a ceiling fan to make for a blissfully comfortable dining experience. We can supply a gas barbecue at your request, so you have the option to cook up a storm right by the pool.

The Games and Fitness Room

Our guests tell us the games room is one of the most popular rooms in our home, and not just with the teenagers! The facilities include a pool table with equipment, an electronic dartboard and a foosball (table football). We have insulated the games room to protect it from the heat and to ensure your comfort.

Also in the games room is our fitness area, for those who feel they want to keep in shape while on holiday. We supply an exercise bike for a cardio workout and a tummy toner to help you burn off the calories. We also supply two sets of dumbbells in different weights and a fit ball and yoga mat which can help with a variety of exercises.

The Living Areas

The open plan living areas provide the perfect place to kick back and relax when you feel like escaping the Florida sunshine for an hour or so. The whole area benefits from the cathedral ceilings with windows facing both north and south, giving a wonderfully light and outdoor feel to the home and a real ‘wow factor’ as you enter the ground floor of the villa.

The family room contains comfortable sofas, coffee table and a TV unit which houses a large TV/DVD/video player and a midi stereo system. Our cable package offers more than 300 TV channels. The room is accessorised with greenery and with tasteful ornaments and elegant lamps for creating just the ambience you require.

Adjacent to the family room is the sophisticated indoor dining area. With an elegant glass table and matching chairs for eight people, your meals will be a sublime affair at Talia Villa. We supply plentiful crockery and glassware to add the finishing touches to your family meals. Dine in style, or relax on the pool deck with a casual barbecue – the choice is yours!

Our kitchen is fully equipped with the highest quality appliances; large cooker with six rings and a grill, a microwave for your convenience, a full-sized refrigerator with large separate freezer and a built-in ice-maker and a dishwasher to make your life as hassle-free as possible – just how your holiday should be! In addition to the major appliances is a host of little extras to make your life as easy as possible; coffee maker, toaster, kettle, blender, a full set of kitchen knives, utensils and cutlery.

The breakfast bar, bordering the kitchen, and with comfortable bar stools is the ideal place for your friends and family to sit and chat while preparing delicious meals and snacks.

The Reading Nook

A personal favourite of mine and I know with many of your guests, is the sunny reading nook in the upper part of the cathedral ceiling. With two luxuriously cosy sofas and atmospheric lamps on the elegant coffee tables, this is the perfect secret getaway for weary mums and dads at the end of busy days.

The Utility Room

We have a separate utility room where you will find a large top-loader washing machine and tumble dryer for your convenience. We also supply an iron with ironing board so that you can get any suitcase wrinkles out of that favourite holiday dress!

Extra-wide Driveway

Talia Villa’s drive is easily big enough for two full-sized cars. We have a car rental company which we strongly recommend and can also arrange a sat nav for you if you wish.

Cumbrian Lakes Community Facilities

Cumbrian Lakes is a pristine community and evidence of the active community association is clear to see in the immaculately manicured garden areas, the cleanness of the paths and the beautifully kept lakes. There is a children’s play area just a short stroll from our villa and each Sunday the community gets together for an informal game of football. Two of the lakes contain attractive fountains and one of the lakes has a pretty wooden bridge and a walking trail around the lake. Early morning walkers may be lucky enough to spot turtles, an array of native birds and even baby fawns, provided they are discreet!
The lake immediately behind our villa is the quietest of the Cumbrian Lakes and so is the perfect spot for some twilight angling. We supply a pair of fishing rods, so try your luck!

Golf

Central Florida really is a golfer’s paradise. With over 150 first class courses in the vicinity, you will be spoilt for choice! However, we have experience of several of the local courses and are more than happy to make recommendations and supply directions and other information. We can even arrange for discounted rates at one or two courses, so please ask us about this when you book, or at any time between then and your holiday.

Just a short drive away is the bustling 192 with a wide choice of restaurants, shops, mini golf courses and other attractions. Both Walmart and Publix supermarkets are just a few minutes away, as well as a range of outlets superstores. If a full day at the outlet stores is more your thing, you may prefer a visit to the famous Orlando Premium Outlets, with 150 top quality stores from Adidas to Zoo York! You can enjoy lunch there from one of the range of stores in the food court and a relaxing coffee or how about a delicious chocolate milkshake as an afternoon treat?

Our home is cared for by a local, family-run management company who maintain our home to the highest possible standard. They can be contacted 24 hours per day in the very unlikely event of an emergency and during normal office hours for any other queries you may have. We are always contactable ourselves by telephone and email and are here and willing to help you, at any stage in your holiday.
