Dining Area
The airy dining room offers room for everyone at the large solid wood extendable dining table. It's also great for those larger jigsaw puzzles!
Fully-equipped Kitchen
The kitchen at Villa Southern Dunes contains all the modern appliances you'd expect to find at home. Large fridge-freezer with ice-maker, dishwasher, four-burner stove, microwave, coffee machine, electric kettle, can-opener, blender, waste disposal.
We have all the plates, dishes and glasses you could wish for ensuring there is enough for everyone. We have a teapot and egg-cups should you need them. For entertaining out on the pool deck, we supply a variety of melamine tableware and cups. There is an array of cooking pots for all your holiday cooking needs.
Breakfast Area
Off the kitchen is a second dining area, that seats at least six. You can use this for more relaxed dining, or for the kids while you have a more sophisticated meal in the formal dining area.
Family Lounge
An informal space with 40" flatscreen cable TV and DVD player, a selection of board games, movies, novels and jigsaws to keep everyone in the family entertained when you want to chill-out after a hard day at the parks or shopping. The two large sofas and large coffee table offer plenty of room while the ceiling fan overhead helps keep you cool, whatever your chosen pursuit.
Pool Area
The pool is west-facing, screened and is 26' x 12' in size. The large deck offers four sun loungers, in addition to two tables, and ten chairs.
A security screen on the pool deck, and door alarms on both sliding doors offer comfort that young children cannot access the pool area without supervision.
We provide, free of charge both a charcoal and a gas BBQ/grill for your use outside of the screened pool area. Fuel is not supplied, but is available locally.
A pool box is kept supplied with inflatable toys for use during your stay.
Games Room
There is an 8-foot slate pool table, with balls for playing pool or snooker. Cues are provided in three lengths so everyone in the family can have a game.
There is also an ESPN air hockey table, a foosball table with 'real' soccer players and a soft-tip electronic darts game.
A 26" cable TV is provided for your entertainment.
Our well-stocked toy box is for younger children and includes dolls, cars, soft toys, dress-up clothes and a box of Lego.
For toddlers, we also have a Toy Story rocking horse.
Mickey Master Suite
The first master suite has a king-size bed with pillow-top mattress, chest of drawers, 22" cable TV and DVD, table with two chairs, private sliding door access to the swimming pool, cordless telephone, clock radio and full-length mirror. The ceiling fan overhead helps for a restful night. The large ensuite has vanity sink with vanity lights and large mirror over, garden tub for two, double walk-in shower, large walk-in closet and separate toilet. Each bathroom has a hair dryer.
Donald Master Suite
Queen bed with pillow-top mattress, with two chests of drawers, 19" cable TV, DVD player, table with two chairs, cordless telephone, large double closet, clock and full-length mirror. The ensuite has a full bath with shower over, vanity sink and toilet. This bathroom also has a hair dryer.
Simba Twin Room
Two twin beds, with 19" cable TV, shared chest of drawers, table, large double closet and full-length mirror. This room shares the family bathroom with the Nemo room.
Nemo Twin Room
Two twin beds with19" cable TV, shared chest of drawers, large double closet and full-length mirror. This room shares the family bathroom with the Simba Room.
Family Bathroom
The third full bathroom also has a well-lit vanity sink, toilet and bath with shower over. Like the other bathrooms, this one also has it's own hair dryer.
The closet in the family bathroom contains a large supply of bath and hand towels, face cloths and enough pool towels for everyone.
For the boring amongst you, we even have a couple of spare twin comforters if you don't want to sleep with a Nemo or Simba comforter (although we can't imagine why not!)
Laundry
Within the games room is an area containing a top-loading washing machine and a large tumble dryer. Forget those get home laundry blues by washing everything before you leave!
If you plan on a lot of outlet shopping, you can pack less and wash your clothes during your stay - the whole wash and dry cycle takes less than 90 minutes.
You will also find an iron, ironing board and a clothes airer for your use.
Parking Facilities & Mailbox
The villa has two parking spaces providing ample off-road parking for all our guests (up to two cars). The Community does not permit parking on the roadside.
There is also a mailbox should you need mail delivery during your stay. This is particularly useful to our longer-stay guests and snowbirds.
For Children
We provide, free of charge, a portable wooden crib, a 'pack and play' style crib, high chair, stroller, changing mat and Disney baby bathrobes for use during your stay. There is also a car booster seat for older children.
There is a collection of puzzles, games, movies and books to keep them entertained. Inflatable pool toys, for use under supervision, are also supplied for playing in the pool.
In the Games Room, you will find a well-stocked toy box with dolls, cars, tea-set, dress-up clothes and Lego
Wheelchair
We now have a manual wheelchair (Invacare Veranda) which can be made available to you for an additional fee* during your stay. This has the large rear wheels for self-propulsion. This might be useful for extra support in the large theme parks or around the malls.
