Florida Theme Park Tickets………Be Sensible & Save Money

It is so easy to get carried away buying theme park tickets when you are planning your Florida holiday, but the danger is that you can buy so many without considering the length of your stay and your ability to get the very best value for your money. The aim of this article is to provide visitors with an insight as to what is  reasonable within a two or three week vacation, bearing in mind that theme parks are only one aspect your Florida holiday.

How many theme parks & waterparks?

Within Orlando alone, Disney World, Universal, Legoland and Seaworld operate a total of 8 very different theme parks and 3 water parks to visit, each of them offering something very different form the next one. The time spent in each of these is a matter for yourself, but I am confident in saying that at the very least each theme park will require two visits, possibly at different times of the day to experience the various attractions, parades and shows. So on that basis alone, there are 14 days of theme park visits and up to 3 days at the water parks and that is before you consider venturing out to the likes of the fabulous Busch Gardens theme park in Tampa.

Tip; Don’t forget many theme park tickets require additional parking charges to be paid for each park. At the time of writing the average cost of daily parking is $17. This can add a significant amount onto your holiday.

Be sensible when buying theme park tickets. Don’t buy more than you need.

Give yourself time to enjoy what Florida has to offer. Florida is one of the most diverse locations in which to enjoy a holiday and there really is life beyond theme parks.

Tip; Buying your theme park tickets in the U.K is usually cheaper than buying them at the gate.

Beaches.

You are surrounded by magnificent beaches both on the east and west coasts, many such as those around the Daytona area are 27 miles long and never get what could be considered busy. If you are staying in and around the Disney areas of Kissimmee, Clermont and Davenport, some of the beaches can be reached in an hours drive.

Tip; Many of the beaches have free off street parking making a day at the beach not only very relaxing but also very cheap.

Shopping.

There are a multitude of amazing shopping outlets and malls in and around Orlando, all providing international guests with the opportunity to buy some fine clothing and accessories sometimes at a fraction of the cost of the same product at home.

Tip; Don’t forget that you will need to add sales tax to any ticket price. This is currently between 6 and 7%.

Golf.

If golf is your game, Florida is heaven on earth as it has the highest number of golf courses in any state in America. Prices vary according to the time of year, the cheapest time to play is during the summer months. Golf carts are included in the price of the green fees which can be as little as $12 per round. Golf club hire is available from many clubs.

Tip; Look for twilight deals, which are often significantly cheaper than those earlier in the day.

Your Very Own Holiday Rental.

As with all holidays,  you will need and benefit from the occasional down time and where better to do that than around your very own pool. here you can relax with your friends and family with all the comforts of your very own home at your fingertips.

So….What Is Best For You?

If you are planning your very first Florida holiday, then take some advice from people who have visited fairly recently, especially in relation to what they achieved in their time in the sunshine state. Take the climate into consideration, you must consider the potential heat of the day as well as any potential rain, which is more prevalent in the summer months.

Most importantly be realistic, leave yourself time to enjoy what Orlando/Florida has to offer, it is so easy to get caught up in the theme parks.

Tip; If you are staying for 21 nights and are intending to visit both Universal Orlando and Seaworld consider buying two separate tickets as opposed to a Flex ticket, each running for 14 consecutive days. This means that you have more flexibility without any additional cost.
