The Mummy At Universal Studios, Orlando.
The Revenge Of The Mummy ride at Universal Studios, Orlando has quickly become one of the most popular rides at this fantastic Florida theme park, along with other rides, such as the likes of the new Simpson’s, Men In Black and of course the world famous Jaws attraction, are also still firm favourites in there own right. With this popularity however, come long queues and wait times. So how do you ride the Mummy without having to endure those long wait times?

On our arrival on 6th August 2008, my family and I decided that we would make our way around to the new Simpson’s ride, which had been opened since our previous visit to Orlando. We knew hat doing so would mean that we would probably have to endure a long wait in line for the Mummy ride, but hey it’s a Florida theme park, that is what happens.
Upon our initial arrival at the ride, we where informed that it was experiencing technical problems, and was shut for an indeterminate period of time.
We then decided to head off to one of the many indoor shows. This allows theme park goers an opportunity to rest their feet and cool don, before returning into the fabulous Florida sunshine once more. Returning to the Mummy some 1 and a bit hours later, my two children and I (wife doesn’t like coasters) where faced with a 30 minute wait.
So we began to improvise, and decided to take the single riders lane. This as the name suggests allows riders an opportunity to reach the ride quicker, however there is no guarantee that you will ride in company with other members of your party.
Setting off along our chosen lane, we quickly realised that we where making good progress, so good that we arrived at the front of the line! After a wait of no more than 2 minutes we where each instructed to join our respective carriages in readiness for the ride.
One of the best, and most cost effective ways to visit Universal Studios, Orlando is with an Orlando Flexticket, which gives you unlimited admission to up to six separate Florida theme parks in 14 consecutive days from the date of first use. Get your Orlando Flexticket here.

That’s a great tip! Also, we found that getting there later in the day there were NO lines, and we got straight in for all the Universal Studios rides. If you buy a fast pass for $15 this will get to the top of the line, even though you’re only supposeed to use each fast pass once we found that none of the attendees at the head of the line were checking them (just show it briefly) and some lines had no-one there for the express fast pass lane!
The Mummy is one of the better rides there, also the re-vapmed earthquake show/ride is great! There a picture of it here - http://www.best-orlando-getaways.com/universal-studios-theme-park-2.html

The single riders lines can be a quick way to get on a ride although you have to be ready not to be with the rest of your party. Although if it saves a wait of an hour its well worth it!

That’s a neat tip. Getting to the Universal Studios Resort earlier has worked for us and usually the lines are not bad at all.The Mummy ride is one of our favorites and another one to add to the list is Men in Black. The Jimmy Neutron ride was a lot of fun too.We go to the parks with a plan . LOL. When we get to the theme parks, we usually decide the top couple of rides that we would like to ride that day. We check those out first and then move on to other rides.
