Bizarre Roadkill In Florida

No matter where you drive within Florida, you will without doubt encounter what the Americans have aptly named ‘Roadkill’. Basically this an animal or creature which has been killed as a result of a collision with a vehicle, which like the animals themselves, come in all shapes and sizes, not forgetting speeds.

So what are the chances of hitting something, I hear you ask. Well actually due to the way in which many of the roads border large areas of woodland there is every chance. That said however you must bear in mind that the majority of the animals involved in these incidents are relatively small. However there are always exceptions the rule. (more…)

Driving In Florida.

For many prospective visitors to the Sunshine State, the thought of driving in an unfamiliar environment on the opposite side of the road after a long  flight is a cause for real concern. However it isn’t until you have been there for a couple of days, travelling to and from your villa, that drivers realise that it is actually no harder than driving back at home, and in some cases it is actually easier, due to its slower pace.
